This position supports off-site catered events, private parties, corporate functions, weddings, and special events throughout the Los Angeles area. Responsibilities include food preparation, event setup and breakdown, kitchen organization, inventory support, loading and unloading catering equipment, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting chefs and event managers as needed. Team members may work in commissary kitchens, event venues, private residences, and outdoor event spaces. The ideal candidate:

Has previous prep cook, banquet cook, catering, or food service experience Is reliable, punctual, and professional Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail Enjoys working as part of a team Can follow recipes, production lists, and chef instructions Maintains safe food handling and sanitation practices Is able to lift and carry catering equipment, food products, and supplies Is available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Responsibilities Food preparation and production Ingredient preparation and portioning Event packing and organization Loading and unloading catering vehicles Assisting with event setup and breakdown Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization Dishwashing and sanitation duties as needed Inventory support and restocking Following food safety and sanitation procedures Supporting chefs and event managers during events Qualifications Must be able to communicate effectively in Spanish Previous catering, banquet, restaurant, or food service experience preferred California Food Handler Certificate preferred Ability to work flexible schedules based on event needs Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry heavy objects safely Strong communication and teamwork skills Job Type On Call / As Needed To apply, please submit your resume and availability for consideration.
