We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Full-Time Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is central to delivering exceptional food experiences for guests participating in our renowned Wine & Food Pairing program, winery events, and special experiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and takes pride in consistently executing high-quality food while maintaining strong standards of cleanliness, organization, and teamwork. Position Details Full-Time, Hourly Position Flexible schedule required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays Occasional overtime may be required, sometimes on short notice Compensation The anticipated pay range for this position is $24.00-$26.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to hourly wages, this position includes participation in service gratuities/tips associated with guest wine & food pairing experiences and special events , providing additional earning potential. Benefits & Perks Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Employee wine and merchandise discounts Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace culture Opportunity to work at a winery consistently recognized as one of the North Bay's Best Places to Work Essential Responsibilities Culinary Execution Prepare food items according to established recipes, portion standards, and quality specifications Execute dishes with consistency and precision for wine pairing experiences and winery events Maintain strong knowledge of professional cooking techniques and knife skills Support service for daily hospitality programming and special events Kitchen Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times Complete opening, service, and closing duties efficiently and thoroughly Ensure all food is properly labeled, stored, and handled in compliance with Health Department regulations Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Team Collaboration Work closely with culinary and hospitality teams to ensure seamless guest experiences Provide support wherever needed during service and events Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude Support all company policies, procedures, and safety initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef Qualifications Previous professional kitchen or food service experience required Food preparation experience and knife skills preferred Food Handler Certification is a plus Ability to read and write in English to follow recipes and communicate with team members Basic math skills required for recipes, measurements, and portioning Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment Creative, flexible, and team-oriented mindset Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with hospitality standards Must be at least 21 years of age Why Join Us At St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, you'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to creating exceptional wine country experiences.
