  • Part-time Surf City Sandwich is one of Santa Cruz County's favorite locally owned sandwich shops, located in the Soquel Tower Plaza.
We specialize in chef-created, made-to-order sandwiches, salads, soups, and daily specials made with quality ingredients and attention to detail. We're looking for an experienced cook who takes pride in their craft, works well with others, and genuinely enjoys creating great food. If you're tired of late nights, corporate kitchens, and toxic restaurant environments, this may be exactly what you're looking for.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prepare and execute hot and cold menu items with consistency and care Work both sandwich and line stations during service Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace Support teammates and contribute to a positive kitchen culture Deliver food you're proud to serve
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
At least 1 year of restaurant, line cook, prep cook, sandwich maker, or similar experience Strong work ethic and reliability Positive attitude and team-first mentality Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Passion for quality food and hospitality Weekend and holiday availability
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

SCHEDULE 20-30
hours per week 3-5 shifts per week Typical shifts are 4-6 hours Restaurant hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Most team members are out by 4:00 p.m.
