Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare menu items according to Rubys Diner recipes, plate presentations and specifications within cook time requirements Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by Guest and prepare and cook food according to instructions Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, and dishwashers Complete all assigned prep work Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times Set up work station Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects Be a core team member in a fast-paced kitchen
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age Previous Line Cook or cooking experience preferred
Physical Demands:
Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 50 pounds in weight Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves Mobility required during the entire shift Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length We are an
