Prep Cook

Kikka sushi is looking for energetic, hardworking, dependable, Prep Cook / Food Prep / Team member that will provide great customer service at both Lunardi Markets located at 1600 Palos Verde Mall, Walnut Creek, CA 94596 (3 days) AND 345 Railroad Ave., Danville, CA 94526 (2days) This is a full time only job, working 7 am to 4 pm (includes an hour unpaid meal break), 3 days in Walnut Creek and 2 days in Danville. The Prep Cook / Food Prep / Team member will make sushi in advance and per customer's request. No experience making sushi, no problem we will teach you! The team member will also do prep work, prepare other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment while helping customers in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment. To thrive in this job you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, have a flexible morning and evening availability, be willing to work hard (this isn't an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to get comfortable with the job), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few days or weeks) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English.

Pay :

$20.00 per hour. Per SB1182:up to $22.00 per hour, depending on years of sushi making working experience. No sushi making work experience, $20.00, not negotiable.

Qualifications:

Be eligible to work in the U.S. Be 18 years of age or older Must be able to work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays Be familiar with sushi Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Must be able to work at both locations Preferred experience: Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced environments Food handling experience and food handler certification
