Job Description

Candidates must have evening and weekend availability to be considered. Job Summary The Line Cook at Boul'Ange plays a key role in preparing and executing dishes that highlight the vibrant, fresh, and inviting flavors of our cuisine. With an emphasis on high-quality ingredients, flavor, and presentation, the Line Cook ensures that every dish meets the Boul'Ange's high standards for consistency, beauty, and guest satisfaction. Supervisory Responsibilities None Duties/Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Consistently maintain the café's high standards for flavor, freshness, and visual presentation. Collaborate with other cooks, prep staff, and chefs to ensure smooth service and orders. Adhere to portioning standards to maintain food quality and cost control. Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked during service. Uphold all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Communicate clearly and respectfully with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support a positive, team-focused environment. Assist with daily prep, inventory management, and storage procedures. Maintain excellent personal hygiene and ensure uniforms are clean, pressed, and presentable for every shift. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Strong cooking skills with a passion for fresh, seasonal, and visually appealing food. Ability to execute dishes consistently, even in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards. Attention to detail in both preparation and presentation. Team-oriented with strong communication and time-management skills. Education and Experience Prior experience as a line cook in a restaurant, café, or bakery setting preferred. Culinary training or certification a plus but not required. Must successfully complete the Boul'Ange training program, including food handler certification. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly to keep pace with service demands.
