Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure timely service Handle food with proper safety and sanitation practices, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients Support food handling procedures during meal preparation, catering events, and food service operations Maintain organized workstations, ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean and functional Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong culinary experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience in restaurant or food industry settings with a focus on kitchen operations Skilled in menu planning and catering preparation to meet diverse dietary needs Excellent knife skills for efficient ingredient processing Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
