The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of meal preparation in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, helping to create delicious meals that delight our guests. Your expertise in food handling and culinary techniques will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in food quality. Follow Chef's guidelines, and daily needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens safely and efficiently. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Help with inventory management by putting away orders, monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Daily cleaning, side work, including but not limited to station organization and dishes Experience Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and safety regulations is essential. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus, as is experience in meal preparation for diverse dietary needs. Strong knife skills and proficiency with various kitchen tools are highly desirable. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment. A team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills is essential for success in this role.
