8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Dietary Cook to join a healthcare food services team. The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring compliance with dietary requirements, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines. This position requires previous hospital dietary experience and the ability to work efficiently in a healthcare environment. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and dietary restrictions.
  • Prepare meal trays and assist with food service operations.
  • Ensure meals are prepared according to patient dietary needs and physician-ordered diets.
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
  • Assist with stocking and organizing food and kitchen supplies.
  • Monitor food quality and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with dietary staff to provide timely meal service.
  • Perform additional food service and kitchen duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
  • Previous hospital dietary experience is required.
  • Experience preparing food in a hospital, healthcare, long-term care, or institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, dietary guidelines, and special diet requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

$23.00 - $29.00 per hour
