This role is perfect for culinary professionals who thrive under pressure, excel at food preparation, and are passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key player in our kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing and plating dishes efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.   • Job purpose The cook is responsible for preparing customer orders, producing meals, and cleaning their workstation throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines.
Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff, prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal, and follow instructions. Seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) line cook for full-time employment. Availability for Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays are a MUST! Duties and responsibilities
  • Answer, report and follow Executive Chef's or Sous Chef's instructions.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Report any issues with food quality, food stocking, health standards to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Learn current recipes and procedures, including names of items on menu and how they are plated and prepared per station.
  • Check your scheduled station, prep items for shift, check and replace old items, prep ahead for next shift.
  • Prepare food for services (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or prepare sauces).
  • Keep station clean at all times. Stay organized and put things back where they belong.
  • Work efficiently combining steps and even working on multiple items at once to increase productivity.
  • Handle special requests from servers and guests with enthusiasm, go out of your way to please the customers.
  • Work as a team with the front of the house staff, as well as the dishwashers and prep cooks. We strive for a positive atmosphere, not a them vs. us environment. This business would not be successful without every single person doing their part.
  • Serve exceptional food!! Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills in English is a must.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Restaurant or culinary experience preferred but not required.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Follows directions and instruction.
  • Multitasker and organized.
  • Work at a fast pace in a busy environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Skills
