Nola Eats is a new, up and coming, cajun cusine experience, that is growing quickly! We take pride in providing delicious food with Southern hospitality! The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Fry/Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to perfection, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. This particular post is for applicants interested in working with our catering company to provide food for hundreds of people at various festivals/events. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, focusing on fried foods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in menu planning by providing input on new dishes and seasonal offerings. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of cooking supplies and ingredients, notifying management when stock needs replenishing. Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain quality and safety standards. Assist in meal preparation for a large festivals, ensuring timely service without compromising quality. Takes direction well and listens to instruction. Adaptable. Maintains a friendly demeanor and manages stress well in high volume situations. Works well with a team, offering collaboration and a positive attitude. High quality multitasking and organizational skills. Experience Previous experience in a culinary role is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with catering services and operating multiple fryers is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for food service and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Having worked with a team environment, in high stress situations is a plus.
