Full-Time/Part-Time Summary:
As a Prep Cook at Moxie Bread Co, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen by preparing recipes and crafting moxie products. Your responsibilities will include prepping components for our sandwich team, helping craft pastry items such as cookies and brownies and building grab and go items for all three of our Moxie Locations. Ensuring that all food is prepared according to our recipes and standards, you will work closely with the kitchen and pastry chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure that the kitchen runs as efficiently as possible.Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Follow Moxie Recipes and builds to accurately make productsKitchen Organization:
Maintain organization and cleanliness of your individual work area and the facility as a whole Put away orders as they are received in their appropriate places and consolidating as neededFood Safety:
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.Cooking Assistance:
Support other teammates and departments as necessaryEquipment Maintenance:
Maintain and clean kitchen equipment, including knives, blenders, and mixers. Report any maintenance or repair needs.Collaboration:
Work effectively with other kitchen staff to accomplish projects in a timely manner Work alongside staff in multiple departmentsQualifications:
Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred but not required. Basic knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong organizational and communication skills. Food safety knowledge, certification preferred..Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity for handling delicate items and using equipmentWork Environment:
