OVERVIEW

Join the team at Backyard Burgers — a smash patty burger concept operating out of Avanti F&B Vail. We run a tight, kitchen-only operation: no front-of-house, no servers, just a focused crew that takes pride in putting out a great product at volume. If you're someone who moves fast, keeps a clean station, and doesn't need to be managed minute to minute, this is the spot for you. Whether you're an experienced line cook or a motivated prep cook ready to level up, we'll put you in a position to grow. We're building something here — and we want people who want to be part of it. DUTIES Smash and cook burgers to order on a high-volume flat top — consistent quality on every ticket Prep ingredients before and during service: portioning, slicing, saucing, and restocking stations Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all food safety and sanitation standards Handle food correctly at all stages — storage, prep, and service — no shortcuts Plate and assemble menu items efficiently and to spec during peak service Communicate with teammates during service and at shift transitions Own your station — anticipate what needs to be done and do it

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous line cook or fast-casual kitchen experience preferred — we'll train the right person Comfortable working a flat top and performing under high heat and high volume Solid knife skills and food prep fundamentals Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Able to stay focused and efficient during peak rush Strong teamwork and communication — no drama, just execution Food handler certification required (or willing to obtain before first shift) Reliable transportation to Avanti F&B Vail

SCHEDULE

Open Sunday-Wednesday 11am-9pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-10pm 7-hour shifts — weekend availability required
