Responsibilities Prepare and cook authentic Latin dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor consistency. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu offerings that highlight traditional Latin ingredients and cooking styles. Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients with precision using knife skills. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of Latin cuisine while maintaining quality standards. Ensure all food is prepared efficiently to meet service timelines during busy hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in Latin cuisine cooking or culinary arts, with a strong knowledge of traditional recipes and techniques. Background in restaurant or fine dining environments, demonstrating excellent food preparation and presentation skills. Familiarity with dietary department standards, food safety regulations, and proper food handling practices. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services is highly desirable. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods essential for authentic Latin dishes. Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus, indicating an understanding of specialized dietary needs.
