The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food handling practices. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and fruits. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing dishes as directed by the head chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are followed to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, and grills safely and effectively. Will work Deli & Grill, must have experience in using a deli slicer, portioning and grab and go production. Work cashier as needed Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations within the food industry. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
