The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where creativity and attention to detail are valued. Previous experience in the food industry, including restaurant or catering settings, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service to our guests. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area Use proper knife skills for slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Support food presentation and garnishing for appealing dish presentation Maintain inventory of ingredients and communicate supply needs Follow health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Assist with catering events and special meal requests as needed Qualifications Experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred Proven culinary experience with knowledge of meal preparation and cooking techniques Strong knife skills and familiarity with food handling safety protocols Background in restaurant, kitchen, or food industry settings highly advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and catering operations is a plus Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to various shifts and responsibilities within the kitchen setting
