Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability. Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for service. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during busy hours. Support catering events and special functions by preparing and serving dishes efficiently. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Familiarity with culinary techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation methods enhances performance. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is highly valued. Experience working in dietary departments or providing dietary aide services is a plus. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food industry standards and catering procedures.
