About Us:
White Hart Inn Provisions is a vibrant culinary outpost of the historic White Hart Inn in Salisbury, Connecticut. We focus on high-quality, seasonal fare and thoughtfully prepared provisions, serving our local community with excellence, care, and hospitality.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This individual will assist in daily food preparation, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and support our culinary team in delivering top-quality products. Whether you're looking for part-time flexibility or a full-time opportunity to grow in a kitchen setting, we welcome motivated candidates with a strong work ethic and passion for food.
Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients for daily service, including washing, chopping, measuring, and organizing food items Follow prep lists and recipes with precision and efficiency Label, date, and properly store all food items Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all prep areas Assist with receiving and storing kitchen deliveries Communicate with chefs and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Support other kitchen tasks as needed
Requirements:
Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
