This role works closely with the Executive Chef to maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and kitchen operations. The Ideal Candidate Understands seasonality and is passionate about working with locally sourced ingredients Is skilled in scratch cooking using fresh produce and high-quality proteins Has experience in high-volume, à la carte restaurant kitchens Maintains exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented Is a positive team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Demonstrates a commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and professional kitchen practices Qualifications 3-5 years of culinary experience in a lively à la carte restaurant Leadership or supervisory kitchen experience preferred Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience is a plus About La Plage La Plage is a refined, coastal-inspired restaurant in Westport, CT, showcasing seasonal ingredients, French and Mediterranean influences, and warm, attentive service.
