Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a line cook, where your culinary skills and passion for food service will shine! In this role, you will be an essential part of the post canteen, ensuring the success of Friday Shrimp Nights and other events while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Your enthusiasm for meal preparation, menu planning, and food handling will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for both post members and guests. Responsibilities Assist in planning and preparing menus and prepping for Shrimp Night Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation standards are met Handle food safely by following proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene protocols Operate the fryers, grill and stove while maintaining excellent customer service and attention to detail Support catering events or special meal occasions with timely food preparation and presentation Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth food service operations from start to finish Experience Previous experience working in dietary departments, restaurants, or food service environments is highly valued Hands-on culinary experience including menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in a kitchen setting Familiarity with meal preparation for diverse dietary needs and catering services Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking methods are preferred Experience in the food industry or kitchen environment demonstrating reliability and teamwork Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Join us to bring your culinary talents to life in a vibrant setting where your dedication helps serve others with nutritious, flavorful dishes.
