This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all food served meets safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, a strong understanding of kitchen operations, and experience in various food service settings, including fine dining and catering. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to an exceptional dining experience.
SHIFTS ARE
8am-4pm Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes Assist in menu planning and daily meal preparation to ensure timely service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools Follow food safety protocols and sanitation standards at all times Support the culinary team during busy service periods, ensuring smooth kitchen operations Help with plating, garnishing, and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards Assist with catering events and special menu requests as needed Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with dietary guidelines and customer preferences Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or restaurant kitchens is preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices Fine dining experience or catering background is a plus Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel Culinary experience demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and food service operations
