Job Description

Now hiring knowledgeable kitchen staff for our wine-centric bar in Brandon, FL. The bin + board offers a wide variety of cheeses & charcuterie from around the world, as well as other small plates...Prep experience, knife skills, sauce/jam, desserts making will be key components of this position. Attention to detail a must. Open kitchen...interacting and guest relations required. We are looking for knowledgeable & fun people to join our team. Must love wine, craft beer & cheese!
Typical Hours:
Wednesday + Thursday 5pm - 930pm AND Friday + Saturday 5pm-1030pm •please do not apply if you can not work these hours• Occasional extra hours will be available for private parties on other days/times. Key Responsibilities Wash, peel, chop, slice, and measure ingredients according to recipes or chef instructions. Knife Skills required. Prepare basic components of dishes (sauces, marinades, stocks, doughs, etc.) Prepare all dishes per the recipes for service to guests. Attention to detail is key. Set up and stock workstations with necessary tools and ingredients Properly store food items using correct labeling, dating, and rotation methods (FIFO) Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in preparation areas, refrigerators, and storage rooms Operate kitchen equipment safely (mixers, slicers, ovens, grills, etc.) Assist line cooks during service when needed Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health guidelines Monitor ingredient levels and notify supervisors when supplies need restocking Adhere to recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards Qualifications Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is required. Understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen terminology Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25-50 lbs Good time-management and communication skills Work Environment Fast-paced kitchen Evenings + weekends a must - we are only open Wed - Sat Requires working near hot equipment, sharp tools, and in refrigerated areas Recommended Skills Knife handling Food safety and sanitation Organization and multitasking Teamwork and reliability
Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Good time management and multitasking skills. Able to stand for long period (up and lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant
