Competitive Hourly Pay + Tips Burrito Shak is excited to be opening our new Cape Coral location, and we're looking for dependable Prep Cooks to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, takes pride in food quality and organization, and wants to be part of building a great restaurant from the ground up. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking individual with previous food preparation experience who can help ensure our kitchen is stocked, organized, and ready for successful service every day. This position offers a consistent schedule of approximately 25-35 hours per week across 5-6 days , along with participation in our team tip-sharing program . Responsibilities Follow recipes and prepare fresh ingredients according to Burrito Shak standards Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion vegetables and proteins Weigh and measure ingredients accurately Prepare sauces, salsas, and other menu components Sanitize and prepare equipment, workstations, and food prep areas Label, date, rotate, and organize inventory using proper food safety procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen Assist with receiving and storing deliveries Ensure all prep items are completed accurately and on schedule Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications 1-2 years of food preparation or kitchen experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to follow recipes and food safety procedures Dedicated to working as part of a team toward a common goal ServSafe Certification preferred but not required What We're Looking For Self-starters who take initiative Dependable and hardworking individuals Team players with a positive attitude People who take pride in producing quality food Individuals looking to grow with a new and expanding restaurant Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay Additional earnings through our team tip-sharing program Consistent weekly schedule Flexible scheduling when possible Opportunities for advancement as we grow Hands-on training and development Fun, team-oriented work environment Why Join Burrito Shak?
