Job Description
Overview Crosswinds Youth Services is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our residential services team. The ideal candidate must have experience in menu planning and food preparation, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. If you have a love for cooking and a commitment to providing exceptional food service, we want to hear from you. The hours will be Monday-Friday 11:30 am-5:30 pm Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of current culinary techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
- Experience with menu planning and the ability to create appealing dishes that meet dietary needs.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality food service.
- Florida Food Handling Management certification is preferred.
