Cook II Troon - 3.4 Davie, FL Job Details Full-time $19 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Grande Oaks Golf Club , located in Davie, FL , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Cook II! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. The Cook II position is responsible for preparing and producing high-quality food items in accordance with club recipes, presentation standards, and culinary expectations. This position supports all areas of kitchen operations including a la carte dining, banquet events, buffets, and special functions while maintaining exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Compensation:
$19 per hour (Employee meals included) Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and cook food items according to the Executive Chef's specifications, recipes, and quality standards Produce food for a la carte dining, banquets, buffets, tournaments, and special events Ensure all food orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner Evaluate cooking methods, temperatures, and preparation times to maintain consistency and quality Set up and stock assigned station areas at least 15 minutes prior to service Maintain proper food presentation and portion standards Restock ingredients and food items throughout shifts to ensure continuous availability Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Utilize proper labeling, dating, and F.I.F.O. (First In, First Out) food rotation procedures Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, walk-in coolers, and storage areas Follow all sanitation, food handling, and safety standards established by the Public Health Department and the club Assist with general kitchen cleaning and organization duties as assigned Support the culinary team during high-volume service periods and special events Perform additional duties as assigned by culinary leadership Qualifications & Skills Friendly, professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Strong communication and organizational skills Self-motivated with effective problem-solving abilities Commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and member service Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and sanitation standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Education & Experience Culinary training from an accredited culinary or technical institution preferred Minimum of one (1) year culinary experience in a private club, resort, hotel, or upscale restaurant environment preferred Food Handler Certification required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods during an 8-hour shift Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull kitchen equipment and supplies Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environment Work Environment This position operates in a professional private club kitchen environment requiring teamwork, attention to detail, flexibility, and a commitment to culinary excellence and member satisfaction.
