Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Assist with cooking and food assembly to support the culinary team in delivering timely meals. Follow food safety protocols diligently to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination. Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and prepping items in advance. Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation standards throughout your shift. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and excellent food service delivery. Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food industry settings. Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards. Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Multitask. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations.
