Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols Support kitchen staff during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations Contribute to menu planning ideas based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and servers Prior experience with catering, meal preparation, or food industry operations is advantageous Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
