Job Summary Experienced Cook - Part-Time (Day Shift) We are looking for an experienced cook capable of running either the hot line or the cold line two days a week, ideally Mondays and Tuesdays. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring timely delivery of quality meals. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Prepare and cook French dishes: croque-monsieurs, crêpes, omelets, cooking eggs, etc... Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of all food items Support cooking staff during meal service by providing prepared ingredients and assisting with plating as needed Help with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages or expired items Adhere to dietary department standards and assist with special dietary needs or menu modifications Assist in catering events or special functions as required Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly Qualifications Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Strong knife skills and familiarity with food handling safety protocols Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Experience with meal preparation for various dietary needs is a plus Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively within a team Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and food service.
