Supervise the kitchen under the direction of the Dining Services Director (DSD) and Chef/Lead Cook. Prepare high quality meals consistent with local customs and tastes. Consistently adhere to the standard recipes, the budgeted costs and Company policies. Supervise and/or assist in the proper washing of all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils. Properly maintain all kitchen equipment. Monitor water temperatures and/or chemical compounds as appropriate to ensure the prevention of foodborne illness and the spread of communicable disease. Required Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be flexible/adaptable, pay attention to detail, and have a sense of teamwork. Must possess good time management skills and a keen awareness of safety. Must possess current manager's level food handler permit. Must have positive Criminal Background Screening. The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy. Preferred Qualifications Minimum one (1) year related cooking experience or equivalent preferred. Some software and computer skills preferred.
