Job Description

ABOUT THE EMPLOYER
Carriage House is a private members' club in Palm Beach, defined by the highest standards of quality, service and design. Inspired by the iconic clubs of London's St. James's and Mayfair, the Club blends European tradition with the sophisticated, playful spirit of Palm Beach — known for its exceptional food and beverage, intimate dining spaces, and immersive member programming. Membership is by invitation only, carefully curated to reflect the Club's character and values.
JOB SUMMARY
Generally, the line cook will plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items in accordance with standards, recipes, and plating guide specifications. The cook will maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. The line cook will get an assigned station, ensuring food quality that is produced from that station meets the standards. This position may be assigned to any service the Club provides.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes from assigned station
  • Inspect the cleanliness and organization of the workstations; rectify any deficiencies.
  • Organize all of the various prep items needed to ensure that all items are in place and ready for service.
  • Complete opening and closing duties (which include but are not limited to):
  • Set up workstation with required mise en place, tools, equipment and supplies according to standards.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Check production schedule and pars.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES
Basic knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese ingredients. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced team setting. Excellent time management and organization skills.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience in a professional kitchen; Fine dining is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in job-related English. Bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), stretching, and repetitive motions.
