Responsibilities Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced and appealing meal options. Prepare and cook a variety of foods, following established recipes and safety protocols. Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to residents or customers. Contribute to food presentation, garnishing dishes to enhance visual appeal. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in compliance with health standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and smooth kitchen workflow. Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices. Hands-on experience in food service, including meal preparation and serving in restaurant or catering environments. Proficiency with kitchen tools such as knives and other culinary equipment. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Knowledge of food industry standards, including proper food handling and sanitation regulations.
