Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook and become a vital part of creating delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced food service environment. This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about food preparation, kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Prep Cook, you will support the kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring all food safety standards are met. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will help set the foundation for a successful dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure timely meal assembly Assist in menu planning by organizing ingredients needed for daily specials and standard dishes Support cooking activities by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow during busy service times Support catering events and special functions with prep work and food presentation as needed Skills Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices Proven ability in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a restaurant or food industry setting Excellent knife skills with precision in chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients Experience with menu planning and understanding of culinary techniques Familiarity with food service operations including catering and serving environments Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food safety standards
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
