reviews $18.15 - $19.60 an hour - Full-time Charlotte Behavioral Health Care (CBHC) is seeking a dependable and experienced Lead Cook to support daily dietary operations and meal service. This position serves as a working lead within the Dietary Department, assisting with food preparation, meal service, kitchen operations, and staff support while helping ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality food service. The Lead Cook works closely with the AVP of Community Services and dietary staff to maintain food quality, sanitation standards, and continuity of operations. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus and dietary requirements. Assist with inventory control, stock rotations, and monitoring of food and meal service supplies. Support ordering and supply management as directed. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards. Provide day-to-day operational guidance and support during assigned shifts. Assist with training staff on food preparation, portion control, sanitation, and safety procedures. Coordinate daily workflow to help ensure efficient meal service and kitchen operations. Assist with meal delivery and supply pickup using agency vehicles as needed. Participate in emergency preparedness activities and help maintain continuity of food service during emergencies. What We Offer Competitive pay.

Minimum of two (2) years of food preparation and cooking experience in a commercial, healthcare, institutional, or similar food service environment preferred. Food Handler/Food Service Certification required within six (6) months of employment. Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide operational leadership during assigned shifts. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
