Located on beautiful North Captiva Island, our team delivers exceptional dining experiences in a relaxed yet elevated coastal setting. Accessible only by boat or small aircraft, North Captiva is known for its pristine beaches, breathtaking sunsets, boating culture, and laid-back island lifestyle. We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. If you take pride in preparing high-quality food, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, and enjoy creating memorable dining experiences for guests, this is an exciting opportunity to work where others vacation. What You'll Do Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines Assist with daily food preparation including seafood, meats, vegetables, sauces, soups, and specialty items Set up and maintain assigned kitchen stations for efficient service Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper presentation throughout each shift Work closely with chefs and fellow kitchen team members to execute smooth and timely service Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to kitchen leadership Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation before, during, and after service Assist with banquet functions, special events, catering, and seasonal menu offerings as needed Follow all company policies, health regulations, and food safety procedures Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Grill Cook, Sauté Cook, or similar culinary role preferred Experience working in high-volume, casual upscale, resort, or fine dining environments is a plus Strong understanding of cooking techniques, knife skills, food preparation, and kitchen operations Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes consistently and efficiently Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining professional standards Culinary school training is a plus but not required We are willing to train motivated cooks with strong foundational kitchen experience, a positive attitude, and a desire to grow their culinary skills.
