The Cook prepares meals for residents according to menus and special diet needs while following food safety and sanitation guidelines. This position plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to menus and recipes Follow special diet instructions for residents Serve meals on time Keep the kitchen clean and organized Follow food safety and sanitation standards Store and label food properly Work as a team with other dietary staff Assist with stocking food and supplies as needed Qualifications Previous cooking experience required Long-term care or healthcare cooking experience is a plus Knowledge of basic food safety practices Reliable and able to work well with others Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds About Us Eagle Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing facility that provides short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services.
