Dietary Supervisor/Cook:
Position Summary:
The Dietary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dietary department within a skilled nursing facility. This role ensures residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in accordance with physician orders, state and federal regulations, and facility standards. The Dietary Supervisor supports dietary staff, maintains sanitation standards, and promotes excellent customer service for residents and guests.
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of the dietary department and dietary staff Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician orders, therapeutic diets, and resident preferences Monitor food quality, portion control, and meal presentation Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently met Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and evaluating dietary staff Monitor inventory, food storage, and supply ordering Work collaboratively with nursing, administration, and other departments to meet resident needs Address resident and family concerns regarding meals and dietary services Participate in inspections, audits, and quality assurance activities Ensure safe food handling practices are followed at all times
Qualifications:
Previous dietary or food service experience required, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting Supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety regulations Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Brighton Bay Center for Rehabilitation Healing 10501 Roosevelt Blvd N, Saint Petersburg, FL 33716 Why Work For Us?
