Job Summary
MERCADO WEST
is looking for dependable, skilled Line Cooks who can execute consistent, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced Cali-Mex kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion standards Set up, maintain, and break down your station each shift Assist with daily prep (vegetables, meats, sauces, etc.) Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and support team workflow Qualifications Prior Line Cook experience in a fast-casual or full-service restaurant Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive hourly pay Opportunities for growth within an expanding concept Employee meals and staff discounts Supportive, team-focused kitchen environment
