Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure timely meal assembly Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, sandwiches, and side dishes according to menu specifications Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards Support cooking processes by following recipes, portioning ingredients accurately, and ensuring proper food handling techniques Aid in plating and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards before serving Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, food handling, and sanitation procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service during busy hours Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrates strong kitchen skills Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly enhances your ability to contribute effectively Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques is essential Background in catering or food service roles provides valuable insight into customer-focused meal delivery Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Strong knife skills and experience with various cooking methods are preferred for success in this role
