Job Description

A prep cook is responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation :
Wash, peel, cut, and chop vegetables; prepare meats, poultry, and fish; measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes.
Kitchen Organization :
Set up workstations and ensure all ingredients are labeled and stocked properly for easy access during cooking.
Cleaning and Sanitation :
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Routine Tasks :
Perform routine kitchen tasks such as restocking supplies, cleaning workstations, and maintaining kitchen equipment. Work Environment Work in fast-paced kitchen environment for busy seasons. Be able to withstand being exposed to heat, steam, and noise.
Qualifications and Skills Basic Cooking Knowledge :
Understanding of cooking principles and kitchen equipment.
Knife Skills :
Proficiency in using knives for chopping, dicing, and slicing ingredients. Attention to
Detail :
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Time Management :
Strong organizational skills to ensure timely preparation of ingredients.
Teamwork :
Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
