Cashier/Cook 321 Jacaranda Cir, Venice, FL 34285 From $15 an hour - Full-time From $15 an hour - Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Cook, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This energetic position combines the fast-paced environment of a quick service restaurant with the personal touch of excellent customer care. You will be responsible for preparing delicious food items, managing cashier duties, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests. Your enthusiasm and multitasking skills will help create memorable experiences that keep customers coming back! Responsibilities Prepare a variety of food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and swiftly Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations through proper bussing and sanitation practices Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality Assist in food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction Requirements Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order processing Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus, along with familiarity working in cafés or retail grocery environments Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume periods Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering top-notch food experiences!
