Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients efficiently and safely Support food service operations by plating dishes attractively and ensuring timely delivery to customers or dining areas Participate in food preparation tasks such as portioning ingredients, stocking stations, and cleaning work areas to maintain kitchen efficiency Collaborate with team members to execute catering orders and special event meals with enthusiasm and professionalism Experience Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards Proven skills in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation Experience with menu planning or culinary arts demonstrates a well-rounded skill set Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent knife skills and understanding of food safety regulations are essential for success in this role Embark on an exciting culinary journey with us!
