In this vital role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure residents or clients receive nutritious, well-presented meals in a warm and welcoming environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain experience in the food industry while making a positive impact on the well-being of those we serve. Duties Assist with menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and dietary guidelines Prepare food items using proper cooking techniques, including chopping, slicing, and assembling meals Serve meals to residents or guests with professionalism and friendliness, ensuring timely delivery Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Support catering events or special meal services as needed, contributing to smooth operations Maintain inventory of food supplies, assist with stock rotation, and notify supervisors of low stock levels Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation protocols to uphold a safe dining environment Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or food service setting is preferred Experience as a dietary aide or in a similar role within healthcare or hospitality environments is advantageous Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques required Strong understanding of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen or food service environment Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards residents or guests Join our team to help create nourishing meals that bring comfort and joy!
