ABOUT THE ROUX
The Roux Seafood Kitchen & Cocktails is a scratch-kitchen Cajun/Creole restaurant opening on Atlanta's Edgewood Ave. We cook real food with real technique fresh seafood, housemade stocks, bold spice, and the kind of dishes that make people want to come back. Our kitchen is a place where serious cooks can do serious work in an environment built on mutual respect and craft.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're building our line from scratch and we're looking for cooks who take pride in what they do. Whether you're an experienced line cook ready to own a station or a sharp prep cook ready to step up — if you have solid fundamentals, a strong work ethic, and genuine love for the food, we want to talk to you.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute all assigned station duties with speed, accuracy, and cleanliness during service
  • Complete all mise en place and prep to standards before service begins
  • Maintain a clean, organized station throughout your entire shift
  • Follow recipes and plating standards consistently — every plate, every time
  • Communicate clearly with teammates and kitchen leadership during service
  • Uphold all food safety, temperature control, and labeling protocols
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 2+ years of line experience in a full-service or scratch-kitchen restaurant (preferred)
  • Solid knife skills and foundational cooking technique — we'll teach The Roux's recipes, but you need to bring the fundamentals
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Dependability — we need people who show up on time and ready to work
  • ServSafe food handler certification (or ability to obtain within first 2 weeks)
  • Positive energy and willingness to be part of a team-first culture
HOURLY RATE
  • $17•23/hr based on experience
