Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of culinary techniques. This position involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, assisting in the preparation of high-quality meals, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate special requests. Excellent knife skills and ability to work with various cooking tools. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
