Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation are top-notch Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish execution and ingredient needs Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines Use proper knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and dicing of ingredients Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and quality Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction during service hours Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting, ideally with kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices in the culinary industry Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry best practices Knowledge of dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation methods Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently Prior experience in catering or large-scale food service operations is advantageous Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
