In this energetic role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working alongside a dedicated team committed to culinary artistry and customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes with precision, including pasta, sauces, antipasti, and other specialties Follow established recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality in every dish Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to maintain authentic flavors and presentation standards Maintain food safety standards by properly handling ingredients, practicing sanitation, and adhering to health regulations Support food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, plating, and garnishing to streamline kitchen operations Collaborate with team members during service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders in a lively dining environment Manage kitchen stations efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the shift Experience Previous experience in a restaurant setting, particularly with fine dining or Italian cuisine preferred Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques essential for authentic Italian dishes Background in food handling, safety practices, and sanitation procedures within the food industry Experience with menu planning and catering services is a plus Demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a busy kitchen environment Knowledge of dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required Familiarity with food service operations, culinary techniques, and general kitchen experience necessary for success in this role
