Kitchen Utility / Prep Cook (Tip Pool + Growth Opportunity) Floralia Restaurant | Honolulu, HI Floralia Restaurant is looking for a reliable Kitchen Utility / Prep Cook to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and wants to develop their skills beyond basic dishwashing. The role includes dishwashing, prep work, kitchen organization, and service support, with opportunities to learn additional stations over time, including pizza production. Typical earnings including tips are often higher than the posted base wage. We are a small, team-oriented restaurant focused on quality food, consistency, and professionalism. Reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are more important to us than extensive experience. Responsibilities Dishwashing and maintaining a clean kitchen Vegetable and ingredient prep Restocking stations during service Assisting with salads, desserts, and light kitchen production Receiving and organizing deliveries General cleaning and closing duties Supporting the kitchen team wherever needed What We're Looking For Reliable attendance and punctuality Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work cleanly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift 50 pounds and remain on your feet during service Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required Interest in learning additional kitchen skills and pizza making is a plus Compensation $20-$22 per hour depending on experience Participation in tip pool Opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement Schedule Part-time to start Primarily afternoon and evening shifts Additional hours may be available for the right candidate About Floralia Floralia is an independently owned restaurant in Kakaʻako specializing in wood-fired pizzas, handmade pastas, craft cocktails, and creative plant-based cuisine.
