The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our meals are prepared efficiently and presented beautifully, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Actions and Responsibilities:

Maintain preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe sanitary food-handling practices. Protect freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality and also by rotating old and new items. Comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, policies and procedures. Stock station to a level that provides smooth service Handles, stores and rotates food products and supplies Test food to determine if cooked properly by tasting and adjusting as necessary Follow proper plate presentation and set up for all dishes The ability to carve and trim meats for hot or cold service. Assist with food preparation outside of normal service hours. Fill-in for other employees where and when needed to ensure high guest service and efficient operations. Attend all scheduled employee meetings. Able to lift 50+lbs and must be able to work on feet 8+ hours a day, as well as go up and down stairs Encourage a positive work environment consistent with our mission at Cornbred Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred, particularly in roles related to meal preparation or food service. Familiarity with fine dining standards and catering operations is a plus. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen equipment operation.
