Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials based on current trends and ingredient availability. Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times to uphold food safety standards. Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating to streamline kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to promote a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Collaborate with team members during service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer service. Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, adapting quickly to different service styles. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques essential for quality meal production. Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining service enhances your versatility in the kitchen. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices is critical for maintaining health standards. Restaurant experience that demonstrates ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
