Responsibilities Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as required for menu items. Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning food accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas. Ensure all food is stored properly according to health and safety standards. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and communicate needs to management. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines within the dietary department. Qualifications Previous experience in a culinary role or kitchen environment preferred, particularly in fine dining or catering settings. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for food service and commitment to quality meal preparation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented atmosphere.
